In this video you will learn the difference between having a ‘www’ or non-www URL for your website. This affects your websites SEO because it can lead to duplicate content problems if you link to yourself or if you receive backlinks from others to both the www and non-www version of your site.
If you find your site has the issue of serving up websites with both www and non-www without redirecting to one or the other, then you need to tell your webmaster to do a 301 redirect to one or the other (any one if alright so long as it is consistent across all your URL’s).
