a. Go to your WordPress Menu and add the “author” relationship to your about page.

b. Link to your Google Profile account using rel=”me” and the rel=”author” tag on your about page where you put the “author” tag on. Use this link below as shown in the video.

4. Connect your Google+ Page Direct Connect

-Put the Google+ badge on your website

-Add your website link on your Google+ Page

5. Start using the +1 button to let Google know your topics of relevancy

In this video you will understand why Google+ matters for your SEO now. The simple reason is that the more they know about your and the topics you create content on then the better your content can do in their search results because they are integrating Google+ heavily with search.
